We celebrated my Ryan's birthday tonight with his family. He's commented a few times that he's wanted to eat at Roscoe's Chicken'n Waffles and since I couldn't fly him out to LA I decided to get some KFC and make my Buttermilk waffles and syrup. My friend Dan illustrated this cute book called Chicken Dance with a character named Elvis Chicken so I had to use some printouts from that book for decorations. Ryan was pleasantly surprised by it all and said it was his new favorite meal. I just wish I has some real macaroni and cheese and Collard Greens to go on the side. Maybe next year.
