Quick Report
I know I've been back from St. George for a week now but I'm slow to blog. We had a fun relaxing time there. I went with Ike and my friend Kellee who Ike called 'Ha ha'. Not really sure how he got that out of Kellee but he has his own names for everything. Sadly my friend Jemma couldn't make it but we did go to her favorite place in St. George called Twenty Five Main. They have yummy panini's and salads but most important are their cupcakes which are only a dollar after 7 so I renamed them 'buckakes'. We stayed at the Holiday Inn and went swimming each day. We hit some fun shops and restaurants, thanks for the suggestions.
On the way back I talked Kellee into stopping at Ryan's Grandpa's "Cabin" that he built. It's outside of Scipio and it's quite the site to see. It's been in decline for several years now but Kellee was still impressed as am I everytime I see it.*Jimmy if you read this I got some wood from there so you can hit up Uncle Dennis to make something for you or grab a piece next time you are around.
**Any relatives that want some pictures emailed to them let me know I have some good ones I took a few years ago.

I looked out the window...

at about 7:30 this morning and found this. Lots and lots of snow. Us and our neighbors actually had branches break from the weight. Sadly most of the branches around town that broke were the ones with pretty blossoms on them. Tuesday, April 14, 2009
Sun Times
I'm working on getting away this weekend for a little sun therapy. My friend Kelle and I (and fingers crossed Jemma) are going to run down to St. George for a little getaway. I know there are some good restaurants and stores and boutiques down there but I'm not that familiar with the area so I need some help. If you know of places us girls would like to visit let me know so I can take full advantage of my possible last vacation before the baby comes.Saturday, April 11, 2009
Must See
This is my new favorite video for so many reasons. Let me just throw out a few spoilers. Asian Gangs, biggest pompador ever, line dancing, leap frog, rock-a-billy, faux leopard coat, ok that should be enough. Just watch it.

We're hoping little mystery man will be just as cute if not cuter than Ike was.

Getting Back to Normal

No they aren't chicken pox thank goodness. I took him to the doctor yesterday and he was undecided between allergies to strawberries or a viral infection. Either way he told me to give him some benadryl and hope they don't get worse. They seem to have cleared up quite a bit thank goodness with the added bonus of benadryl helping him sleep.
Friday night he started running a fever but Saturday he was acting ok with a little runny nose and cough. Saturday night on he slept with me in bed and Ryan was nice enough to sleep in Ike's uncomfortable bed. Sunday was the worse (Warning TMI to follow). He was pretty miserable all day, I gave him a bath and he took a big ol' dump in the tub, yuck. Then later in the evening he got upset so I picked him up and he puked all over me. I'm not talking the normal baby spit up, he's advanced to the full blown spew. It soaked me from head to toe literally. Ryan was freaking out, he's asked how I could just hold him and let him puke on me, but what was I suppose to do. Then Sunday night we started to notice a rash start on his leg. Thinking it was just a fever rash we didn't worry to much about it until Tuesday night giving him a bath it was looking pretty bad so we called Ryan's mom to come look at it and she said we better bring him in.
Today it's finally clearing up and he's not as snotty and not coughing as much but he still has a cute little raspy voice. Having a sick kid is the worst thing ever. I don't know what I'm going to do with 2 sick kids, cause I'm guessing if one gets it the other will too. I need spring to get here now so we can all quit being sick, I've had enough already.

The Haircut
I've been meaning to post about 'The Haircut' I got for my birthday. I'm still loving it. It's so much nicer to have short hair, especially when you have the amount of hair that I do. After I get it cut like this it looks like there is a small dog sleeping (or dead) on the floor. I should have saved some of it for another 'hair pillow' for Ike but I think one is enough for now.I got my hair cut at Studio Enizio They are in Lehi off the Alpine Hwy and the cut was only $25. They have a full range of services that cost a bit more, but if you just want the cut I think it's a great price. The girl who cut my hair is named Kelly Clark if you are interested in requesting the same girl. She only works 3 days a week, but I called on Saturday at 1pm and was in by 2pm. I keep telling people too that they have you take your shirt off and put on a robe so you don't get hair on you, High Class! They have a blog too that has some fun music on that I'm listening to right now, it reminds me of an internet radio station I use to listen to years ago I was just thinking about the other day but I can't remember what it was called.
Let me know if anyone goes and checks out the Salon. Oh and feel free to tell me how fabulous I look since Ryan has yet to tell me he likes it.

St. Patty's book club
We had a fun book club last night. It was my turn to pick the book up for discussion and I chose Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates. From the cover you can probably guess why I chose it, yes I have a 50's obsession. The book made for a great discussion. I think we actually spent a solid 2 hours discussing it which rarely ever happens, and come to think of it Twilight or Harry Potter weren't mentioned once.
We all got in the spirit of the day and nearly everyone was wearing green. We also had a wide variety of delish green food. I made cucumber sandwiches to go with the 50's theme as well as St. Patty's. Everyone raved about Robins Green Curry which she is now required to post a recipe for. We always have the best food and this time was no exception.Sunday, March 15, 2009
Happy Birthday to Me!
So far so fun! Ryan took me out for dinner Friday night to a nice Japanese restaurant, Ryan is still talking about the chocolate mouse desert. Saturday Ryan was nice enough to let me escape the house kid free a couple of times, once to do some birthday shopping and then to get my HAIRCUT! woo hoo, (picture to come) at Studio Enizio It's a bit shorter than Ryan would like but I love it. Ike is also isn't too happy about it but that was the point, he needs to lose his hair obsession.Today Ryan (sort of) let me sleep in. Then I'm going to lunch with my 4 favorite girlfriends. Tonight we are having a family dinner where I get to share the celebration with my sis-in-law Emily whose birthday was on the 11th. Happy Birthday Emily!, and Happy Birthday Me!

2 of Ryan's favorite pics of me

I was in 6th grade in this picture which is my only excuse for my afro and puffy sleaves. But my date Greg Bursett looks pretty daper in his baby blue suit, he was ahead of his time.

Ike Likes it
I promise my blog is not just becoming a restaurant review blog but I had a request for a review of Les Madeleines.I talked my friend Jemma into joining me there for lunch last week. I have to say I was a little disappointed. I hate giving something a bad review but I had such high hopes for this place it let me down a little. It all tasted really good, my complaint is really that everything was miniaturized. Maybe that's how they do it in France but for the prices I expected a little bit more. I got the half sandwich half salad and the sandwich measured about 2inch x 1.5inch. They featured there Kouing Aman pastries on the Food network and I was anxious to try them but they were tiny and priced at $5 I just couldn't justify it. I did however get a carrot cookie sandwich which was to die for. Jemma ordered some Mac n Cheese for her boy that was actually my favorite thing there, plus Ike ate a ton of it, thanks Liam.
So basically my only complaint is price vs. size of portion. If there food was 'actual size' I would recommend it. But if you are in Utah county I'd say Flour Girls and Dough Boys is just as yummy and you get your moneys worth.

I'm in Love
With Pizzeria 712, and my husband.Ryan's brother Matt and his cute girlfriend Maggie offered to babysit for us so we could go out to dinner, how nice is that. I'd been wanting to check out Pizzeria 712 since I saw it on Your Heart Out. I talked Ryan into taking me there for dinner and I'm glad I did. So yummy! In fact the pizza was so good we were both craving it for lunch today so I went back and got two more pizza's to go. They make them in a brick oven and use fresh mozzarella and fresh tomato sauce. It's really like no other pizza around, so go try it.
I hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day!

Drum Roll Please
I got an ultra sound yesterday. I'm only 17 weeks but they wanted to check the length of my cervix so I got to get an early one. I was hoping they would be able to see the baby.
Look at that cute little hand, I'm pretty sure there was 5 fingers although it doesn't look like it. I asked if I could find out the sex of the baby and...

Just 1 baby please
I had a dream last night that I had Triplets! Ahh, no thanks. In my dream I gave birth to them at a bakery, I must have been hungry last night. Or maybe because I saw a show on the food network about Les Madelines bakery in Salt Lake that I need to go check out. I was a bit stressed at having 3 babies but decided I should give one away to a friend who has been trying to have a baby but couldn't. I don't know if that proves I'm a giving person or that I'm too lazy to deal with 3 babies. Because 2 I could handle but 3, I don't think I'd ever sleep.Monday, February 2, 2009
Happy Groundhogs day!
He saw his shadow, so Phil says we have 6 more weeks of winter. Although apparently he is right only 37% of the time so really there is a better chance that spring will be early this year. What an odd little tradition this country came up with. I like Anne's family tradition the best. They get presents for groundhogs day which ends up being something that her mom had bought the family for Christmas and forgot about or else something her mom had been wanting to get, like a dining room set, and uses groundhogs day as a good excuse to get it. Hope you get something nice for groundhogs day Anne!Next to Arbor day this is one of my favorite holidays, so I hope everyone has a...

ADELE is CUTE
Thank you Jemma for sending me the pics, I like this one better but I'll leave them both up.
(Jemma needs to email me the pics she took cause I look much cuter in them)I got to go to the ADELE concert with my good friend Jemma on Friday. It was a lot of fun just getting out of the house but it was a great concert as well. The Murray Theater was packed and you can see by the pic below that it took all kinds of folks there. Gramps only made it through the opening act, which kind of went on too long if you ask me.
ADELE opened with my favorite of hers 'Cold Shoulder'. I took a little video of it but it's probably more entertaining just to watch the actual video. She was so cute performing, she's got the cutest personality and she kept giving the audience coy little waves. Her voice was amazing live, she's got a lot of talent for a 20 year old. It was an awesome show but I think Jemma and I both decided we are more of the sit and relax and watch a concert type now, man I'm getting old. But I guess if Gramps is still coming out I can suck it up and stand for a few hours too.P.S. She said she's coming again in May!

Great Day!
It's been a great day watching the inauguration. Obama's speech was amazing. I had to wonder what Bush was thinking listening to it.
I just talked to Ryan and he brought me down a little from my optimistic high. It's too bad that there are still ignorant people in this country and especially this state. Ryan's been hearing a lot of comments at work today. When are people going to understand that the color of ones skin does not determine their worth. I won't let that get me down though.
Also thanks for every ones concern, I'm feeling better the last couple of days. I feel like I've been complaining a lot but I think that's just cause my complaints are public.
Tonight I get to go to Book Club. It's the highlight of my month and we are talking about one of my all time favorite books. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foers. I can't wait to hear what the girls have to say about it. I also can't wait to see what all the girls have made, last time I wasn't feeling so good and didn't eat much. I'll make up for it this time.
